Srinagar, March 25 (KNO) : APHC chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday appealed all religious clerics, Ulema, and religious organisations to stop fringe elements from spreading hate and forge unity. Dividing Muslim Ummah is a major sin, said Geelani and stressed Ulema of different sects to show wisdom as we are passing through horrendous situations.

Geelani while referring to teachings of Islam said that we have clear guidance to hold the rope of Allah and follow Quran and Sunnah .Quoting reports, Syed Ali Geelani said that certain elements on social media are creating wedge and sowing seeds of hatred .It is unpleasant and detrimental and a nuisance which has evolved an anarchy like satiation for Ummah and particularly for freedom movement as occupant factions are taking undue advantage from this meaninglessness exercise within society .

Syed Ali Geelani expressed his dismay and said that when whole Muslim Ummah and particularly people in Kashmir are being killed and maimed, such element instead of taking notice of issues related to freedom movement are deliberately pushing Ummah towards anarchy.

Delivering hate speeches, sermons and declaring opponents as infidels and deviators is quite unsolicited and this is derailing and deviating our movement against occupants, said Geelani. Allah the Almighty says: “And hold fast all of you together to the rope of Allah and be not divided among yourselves”. This is an instruction of Allah, said Geelani which requires a lot of time to goes through, which unfortunately we don't have, he added. Whosoever is indulged in spreading hate is fulfilling the agenda of occupant forces, Geelani declared and asked people to stay away from these fringe elements.

This is a slur, a curse and when a nation instead of taking care about important issues, involve in such activities, will definitely leads nations to astray, Geelani said. Islam according to the Quran teaches love and compassion for every human being, said Geelani and advised these religious clerics to have deep insight in religious teachings and seek right direction in right perspective, saying that violent and intolerant beliefs about Islam go against the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.

We are reeling under appalling situations, Geelani said and added we are being killed and caged and in such situation need of the hour is to join hands and resist tyrant and occupant forces, he added. Instead of indulging in hate speeches against opposite groups it is advisable to put all your efforts and energy against those trampling our freedom right, he said.

Geelani asked people to keep close vigil over these elements and disassociate from these and asked to show regard and bestow respect for every sect and section. Syed Ali Geelani asked all to take lead role in freedom movement and stressed to follow teachings of Holy Quran wholeheartedly, saying beloved prophet Muhammad (saw) has said that “I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.”(KNO)
